Picking three TFT team comps you should try is a tough task as the game is very situational. The game's skill element revolves around players being able to accurately assess which builds are available to them in that specific game and build one successfully.

The three team comps that are listed here should not be built in every game--the units are highly contested and forcing them into your build can be an easy way to earn eighth-place finishes.

Regardless, let's take a look at three solid team comps that can snag you a first-place finish when built properly.

3 TFT Team Comps You Should Try

Astro Snipers

Champions: Caitlyn, Nautilus, Ashe, Gnar, Jhin, Teemo, Wukong, Lulu

Items: Rabbadon's Deathcap, Infinity Edge, Mortal Reminder

Astro Snipers is possibly the game's most dominant comp when built optimally. The Vanguard combo from Nautilus and Wukong gives the team a nice, beefy front line while the four sniper bonus from Jhin, Caitlyn, Teemo, and Ashe does insane amounts of damage. The other bonus from this comp is that it features both an AP and an AD threat. Teemo and Jhin are designed to be the carries in this team composition and should be stacked with AP and AD items respectively. You can play this comp with almost any items and should be flexed into if you find a Jhin or Teemo early on in the game.

Blademasters

Champions: Master Yi, Shen, Fiora, Jarvan IV, Rakan, Irelia, Riven, Xayah

Items: Mortal Reminder, Infinity Edge, Guardian Angel

Blademasters are a great combination as they deal massive amounts of splash damage and wipe out enemy carries extremely fast. This is a hyper roll team, so your best bet is to hold back and avoid spending gold until after the first NPC mob. Look for a three-star Xayah to carry you through the early and mid-game. This team composition requires fairly specific itemization so its not worth pursuing if you land a bunch of AP items to start the game.

Vanguard Mystics

Champions: Nautilus, Mordekaiser, Jayce, Karma, Cassiopeia, Wukong, Soraka, Lulu

Items: Rapid Firecannon, Blue Buff, Morellonomicon

This is a fairly interesting team composition as it tries to simply survive. Between the Vanguard and Mystic bonuses, the team has heaps of bonus armor and magic resistance. As a result, the team is incredibly hard to kill unless enemies build a Mortal Reminder or Morellonomicon to specifically counter the comp. Cassiopeia carries the damage output and she should be positioned in a place where she's protected. Overall, this comp needs AP items to survive, so it's important that you only build this with the right itemization, or it will struggle to find a sufficient damage output.
