Valorant's Patch 3.04 will be coming out soon, and with it a slew of changes to the game. While we do not know exactly what will be coming with the new update, based on the information in patch 3.03, it can be safely assumed this will be a larger than normal patch.

3 Things We Don't Want in Valorant Patch 3.04

1. Operator Buff

The Operator, or "OP" as many players call it, has been a point of contention for Valorant since release. Players will either think it is way too good or not good enough, with no room in the middle. Even now after multiple nerfs to it, some players still think it is too good, while many others think it needs to be made more viable. That argument being that it is pretty balanced in comparison with the rest of the game. There has been a lot of conversation around whether or not the OP should be buffed, either in a price reduction or undoing some of the movement nerfs. It needs neither of these things. It is currently a dominant defensive tool and a niche offensive tool for some teams, and that is how it should be. The sniper should not hold control over an entire game from both sides.

2. Unneeded Nerfs/Buffs to Agents

Riot has not been hesitant to make changes to any of their characters, even when the public finds it unneeded. The best example of this is Riot's seemingly undying need to make sure Sage is not a top level agent. She has seen continuous nerfs throughout the game's lifecycle, even when she wasn't at the top of pick rate or win rate. She did see a buff at one point, but was then nerfed even harder with the economy update. Sage is the best example of this mindset. When the new patch drops Riot should leave some of the characters where they already are, because they are just fine in their current roles.

3. More Economy Changes

Whether it is making the Operator cheaper or undoing monetary changes when it comes to abilities, Riot should not change anything more about the current economy. It is still a learning process for players after the original big economy change to get used to the new way that abilities and weapons needed to be distributed. While many were unhappy with the changes at first, most have gotten used to them by now. Any more changes to the fragile economy system of Valorant could really damage the state of play. For the time being, prices should be left alone for the most part.
