5 Best Bot Lane Duos in League of Legends Patch 10.8
By Blake Toman
League of Legends Patch 10.8 is right around the corner with changes set to hit the bottom lane. Here are the five best bot lane duos in League of Legends Patch 10.8.
5 Best Bot Lane Duos in League of Legends Patch 10.8
1. Kalista and Taric
Even with the nerfs to Kalista's Rend (E) slow and Base Armor on League of Legends Patch 10.8, she'll still be one of the top AD carries in the meta due to her mobility and late game team-fighting. When paired with a Taric that can reset a fight with Cosmic Radiance (R) and start a strong engage with Dazzle (E) after using the Fate's Call (R) knock up to secure the stun, the duo is nearly unstoppable in the mid and late stages of the game.
2. Miss Fortune and Nautilus
Miss Fortune is one of the few strong AD carries not to receive nerfs on Patch 10.8, so her dominance will now be relatively unrivaled. Add the damage from Bullet Time (R) and Double Up (Q) with the Dredge Line (Q) from a Nautilus and you have a duo that can threaten the opposing duo from level 2 onward. The strong early game and late game team-fighting these champs offer make them a duo that's difficult for most other bot lane duos to answer.
3. Kalista and Alistar
Alistar has come from out of nowhere to take control of the support meta and his ability to start out team fights well when paired with a Kalista is unrivaled. In his normal Headbutt (W) and Pulverize (Q) combo, Alistar has to perfectly time Pulverize in order to get a multiple person knock-up. But when Kalista uses Fate's Call (R), Alistar can get off a multiple person Pulverize without having to time it out of the Headbutt animation. Alistar's tank stats, crowd control, and peel make him a terror and Kalista's late game damage punishes the enemy team if they focus down the Alistar first.
4. Varus and Braum
Varus is another one of the AD carries getting nerfs on Patch 10.8 targeted at decreasing the power of his Chains of Corruption (R) by increasing its cooldown by 20 seconds at early in the game. But, the late game damage that Varus can dish out with Blade of the Ruined King, Guinsoo's Rageblade, and Runaan's Hurricane is nearly unrivaled and allows him to shred through tanks like Ornn, Maokai, and Zac. Braum can make up for Varus's lack of mobility by peeling for him with Glacial Fissure (R) and Unbreakable (E).
5. Aphelios and Thresh
Aphelios is also getting another round of nerfs on Patch 10.8, which will push down his power significantly as he will no longer be gaining bonus armor penetration from his passive. However, the utility that comes all five guns in his kit and the situational damage he can provide he in team fights will still keep him in the top tier of bot lane duos. When paired with the pick potential of a Thresh, Aphelios can be empowered to do even more damage with Thresh having Flay (E) and The Box (R) to keep enemies away from Aphelios and Dark Passage (W) to re-position him during extended team fights.
