5 Reality Augments We Want to Return in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
As Fortnite Underground winds down, we compiled a list of the five best Reality Augments we want to return in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
Epic Games introduced Reality Augments in Fortnite Chapter 4, giving fans a randomized in-game perks system that granted them everything from extra ammo to elite weapons. Reality Augments became a staple of the previous Fortnite Chapter, so much so that the community was surprised to see their absence in Fortnite Chapter 5. Rumors and leaks claim Reality Augments could make their return to Fortnite, though, once again providing players with bonuses that could help them secure a Victory Royale.
Check out the five in-game perks we would love to see back in Epic Games' Battle Royale.
5 Reality Augments We Want to Return in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Here's the five Reality Augments we want to return in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
5. Munitions Slide
Munitions Slide was an underrated and underappreciated Reality Augment. Players could slide whenever they wanted to receive extra medium ammo at any point in the game. Although the Reality Augment is not as OP as some of the others on our list, it was a welcomed sight late game if your AR was low on ammo. The perk was also one of the only ones that could benefit your teammates as well; players could slide for ammo and then drop half (or all) of what they collected for their duo.
4. Bloodhound
Bloodhound outlined enemy players hit by your marksman rile or sniper. For a brief duration, your opponent was highlighted red, revealing their exact location to both you and your teammate. Although the Reality Augment was only useful to those using a DMR or sniper, it was an easy way to track your opponent without having to call out their exact location or chase them down.
3. Keymaster
The only reason Keymaster is third on our list and not first is because Holo Chests are unlikely to return in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The Reality Augment granted players two keys that could unlock one of the broken weapons or heals found in Holo Chests. If your off-spawn loot was terrible, having two keys at your disposable to get a better inventory was a reassuring feeling. Plus, there was also the small chance you would find a Heisted weapon in a Holo Chest, giving you the complete advantage over players without one.
2. First Assault
First Assault made the first bullet in your assault rifle magazine deal bonus damage. The Reality Augment was especially useful in Zero Build, where long-range gunfights occur much more frequently. If you had First Assault equipped and a weapon of Epic or higher rarity, then your AR shots were as OP as we have ever seen in Fortnite.
In Chapter 5 Season 2, First Assault would be yet another way to modify your AR to deal the highest damage possible.
1. Exotic Grab Bag
Exotic Grab Bag is without a doubt the best Reality Augment in Fortnite history. The perk produces a random Heisted weapon right at your feet, potentially giving you one of the best guns in the game without having to eliminate anyone or steal one from a vault. Although Heisted Weapons are no longer in Fortnite, the developers can easily make Exotic Grab Bag produce a Mythic weapon instead. Or, they could shock the world and bring back the best shotgun in the game—the Heisted Accelerant Shotgun.
