League of Legends Patch 10.14 went live affecting multiple mid lane champions. Mid lane is often regarded as League of Legends' strongest role. If you get ahead in the mid lane, you have the ability to roam top or bot and also contest dragons and Rift Herald.

While there are some awesome mid picks at the moment, lets take a look at which champions are simply not worth your time in Patch 10.14.

5 Worst Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 10.14

Azir

Azir has always been regarded as one of League of Legends' hardest champions to play. While he was difficult, the potential payoffs were huge. Azir would deal massive amounts of damage in team fights while also staying at a safe distance. Right now, however, the reward for playing him is simply not there. Locking in Azir is literally playing one of League of Legends' most difficult and weakest champions at the same time. There are simply other champions who will reward your skilled play more in Patch 10.14.

Corki

Corki is an old champion and one that just feels incredibly weak at the moment. Corki's kit feels like it lacks agency over the game. While one could probably master Corki and win games, there are simply champions that will reward you more for your efforts. If you are looking for Corki's long range in lane, give Xerath a try. If you are looking for an AD-based mid laner, try one of League of Legends' assassins such as Talon or Zed.

Lissandra

Lissandra has been in a strange position in the current meta for a while now. She is not necessarily a bad champion, but Vladimir has simply been the better tank mage. It feels as if Vladimir is just the better pick as he combines healing, invulnerability, and an AoE team damage buff. Additionally, Lissandra takes some time to master while Vladimir is a fairly easy champion to get down. Vladimir is one of League of Legends' best mid laners in Patch 10.14 and Lissandra mains would benefit from making the switch until she gets buffed by Riot.

Morgana

This feels like a bit of a surprise name, as Morgana is actually in a pretty good place in Patch 10.14. The issue with locking in Morgana mid in Patch 10.14 is that she is not a good roamer. Mid laners are responsible for finding a lead in their lane and then using it to help their teammates build a lead. Morgana is not good at roaming, as she is slow and not good at ganking lanes. If you are looking for a mage that is excellent at snowballing their lead around the map, give Cassiopeia a try. She scales incredibly well and has the ability to ground enemies which makes them easier to catch up to and kill.

Brand

Brand is actually a great pick and can carry team fights with his damage in the right scenarios. He is a terrible choice to main mid in Patch 10.14 because of the prevalence of assassins in the mid lane. Brand has no defensive tools or movement abilities which makes him extremely vulnerable to picks like Zed, Talon, or Diana. He is too unsafe in these matchups, and simply farming a wave puts him in danger of being killed. Against other mages or tank picks, Brand can find some success, but its recommended that you avoid Brand until the meta becomes a little friendlier to him.
