The five worst mid laners in League of Legends Patch 10.16 were all staples of the mid lane at some time, but not anymore. Mid lane is one of the most important positions in the game and often regarded as the most pivotal role in determining which team wins the game. Let's take a look at which mid laners may not be worth your time this patch.

5 Worst Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 10.16

Lillia

Lillia has had a pretty rough release and she currently doesn't have any roles in which she succeeds. While she was intended to be a jungler by Riot, she is seeing a lot of play mid and top as well. She takes too long to reach her powerspike and dies extremely easily. She is clearly under-tuned and will almost certainly receive a buff from Riot. Until then, she isn't worth picking.

Azir

Azir used to be one of the best mid laners in the game--those days are long gone. He remains extremely hard to play, however, is much less rewarding then he was in the past. Azir scales too late into the game and usually has lost by the time he reaches his power spike. There are a ton of mages finding better results right now and Azir shouldn't see play until he receives a buff.

Ziggs

Ziggs is not a bad champion--there are just other mages that do more than him right now. Champions like Ahri, Malzahar, and Zoe do more damage and also provide an important utility that Ziggs doesn't have right now. He can be valuable in poke matchups, but aside from that, he should be avoided in champion select.

Lucian

Lucian can struggle immensely in the mid lane because of his relatively short auto attack range. He stands no chance against long-range mages that can poke him down and fairs equally as bad against assassins. He is worth the pick in matchups against tanks but feels fairly useless outside of those scenarios.

Neeko

Neeko is an excellent team fighter, but she struggles in one on one fights. Her damage output is usually not enough to burst down targets unless she is very ahead. Since she has some great utility in her kit, she is best used as a support where her lane partner can finish kills for her.
