Five worst supports for League of Legends Patch 10.15 takes a look at which support picks are not the best for winning games in solo queue. With the Spirit Blossom Festival kicking off this week, expect to see lots of Thresh picks as players try to upgrade their spirit bond with him to earn rewards.

While Thresh is a great pick right now, let's look at which picks players should avoid.

5 Worst Supports for League of Legends Patch 10.15

Tahm Kench

Tahm Kench is a weak pick right now because of his lack of immediate impact in lane. Tank supports such as Nautilus or Leona can provide immediate impact with their abilities while Tahm Kench must land three auto attacks in order to use Devour (W). This limits the amount of impact The River King can have and he struggles against long ranged targets. Try another tank support until Tahm Kench receives some buffs.

Shen

Shen is a great top laner at the moment but, like Tahm Kench, he doesn't do as much as other tank supports. He can provide some useful taunts and shields, but he lacks the ability to be proactive in lane. He is amazing at peeling his ADC, but struggles to engage for them. For this reason, he is better in the top lane and should not be at the top of your list for support picks. Try Leona or Blitzcrank instead.

Gragas

Gragas can be a useful niche pick in several roles, but his overall strength in solo queue is low at the moment. Gragas sometimes struggles because he is stuck between a full ability power build and a tank build. He certainly is not the best tank pick in the game right now and there are several AP picks that do a lot better at the moment. Brand, Karma and Morgana all offer more than Gragas at the moment and should be higher priority picks in solo queue.

Veigar

Veigar seems to be the king of the "auto-filled support" players. He still can do lots of damage in the support role, but he seems to come up a little short. His build is expensive, as he requires Deathcap, Luden's Echo, and Zhonya's Hourglass in most games. As a support, he struggles to acquire enough gold to build these items and takes too long to come online. Try Brand instead.

Poppy

Continuing the theme of under-powered tank supports, we have Poppy. She struggles with engage and damage output as a support. Her ultimate can be useful to disengage from bad fights, however, can be useless in a lot of scenarios in the bot lane. For this reason, she isn't the best pick at the moment and shouldn't be picked over Leona, Nautilus, or Blitzcrank.
