Animated poses in Apex Legends have reportedly been crashing games. Players have been warned not to equip them until a fix has been rolled out.

In the latest round of bugs to appear in Apex Legends, equipping animated poses apparently has the potential to crash the game. Respawn took to Twitter over the weekend to inform players about the bug, advising the communty to spread the word. The warning, posted on Oct. 16, read:

"There's currently an issue with animated epic poses which can cause crashes. We advise you to unequip these epic poses while our team works on a fix."

Many fans took to Reddit, after coming across the in-game warning, to discuss the issue. The discussion netted a response from a Respawn developer who shed a bit more light on the updates. Apex dev and Reddit user, rspn_exgenier, said in their response: "Regarding the animated banner bug; We thought we fixed the root of the issue in 10.1.1 when we last released a client patch. We saw the crash telemetry and social media report die down, so we though we were in the clear. Unfortunately, we didn't fix it completely."

"We apologize this took so long, this bug along with a variety of other reasons took us a long time to identify the actual root cause. We had to go pretty deep into the code to generate a full 100% reproduction of the issue. However, I have good news. We are confident that we have a fix for 10.1.2, which is currently in testing, and should be releasing sometime next week."

So it seems that while this may be frustrating for players, especially since this follows months of troubles, Respawn are being as transparent as possible when it comes to these recent bugs. With a fix on the way and hopefully rolling out sometime this week, fans shouldn't have to put up with the issue for too much longer.
