An Apex Legends player was banned for cheating in game on Tanner 'Rogue' Trebb's live stream.

In almost every game there are players who go a bit too far to win the match. This is almost inevitable in competitive games especially because players want to get better but sometimes do not have what it takes.

It is not everyday you get to see a player banned at the spot, but people on NRG Rogue's stream were able to witness this satisfying moment together. In a live stream on May 17, 2021, Rogue and his viewers witness a player getting banned for cheating. Rogue himself immediately realizes that the player was hacking.

Rogue was watching spectating after death and he comes across a player with a nearly perfect aim. The player managed to get a headshot and kill a number of players on his own from a distance afar. He managed to kill three other players on his own in a few seconds.

The streamer was first startled but soon showed certainty that this player was using cheats. He commented that "even if I had these cheats I wouldn't be this good."

After the cheating player froze for short time he instantly died as a sign of being banned. Rogue and his viewers were happy to see the hacker's account be eliminated from the game.

Hacking players are a serious matter. Along with being unethical, unfair games brings negative experience to players who are actually trying to play the game. Catching cheaters in games has always been one of first priority for game developers and the same is applied for Apex Legends.

It was reassuring to see how fast Electronic Arts reacted to the hacker. It is our hope that everyone will be able to play fair games against each other. One day there will be no bans of players using cheats, but no cheats in game at all.
