Apex Legends Season 7: Ascension will include meta changes and bug fixes for 11 of the characters playable in Respawn Entertainment's FPS battle royale.

Aside from a few instances of give-and-take, Respawn's latest major patch appears full of buffs across the board for its legends.

Apex Legends Season 7 Legend Changes Detailed

Starting with Bangalore, her Rolling Thunder ultimate ability's explosion fuse time has been shortened from eight seconds to six, encouraging enemies to leave the zone faster.

Mirage's decoys have been buffed once again, as Respawn is giving each of them 45 health in hopes of making it more difficult to clear them out. Keep in mind that they will play unique hit effects and briefly flicker when taking damage, as well as still allow bullets to pass through them.

The auto-healing rate of Octane's Swift Mend passive ability has been doubled from 0.5 hp/s to 1.0 hp/s, cutting his time to return to full health (while out of combat) in half.

Hoping to make Wattson a more common pick in ranked games below Platinum, Respawn has increased the damage players who run into her Perimeter Security fences take from 10 to 15.

While her encounter win rate is reportedly pretty healthy according to Respawn, Loba's Trios win rate is "worryingly low." Her Black Market ultimate ability now no longer counts ammo toward's its two-item maximum.

Rampart's ability setup times have been shortened, with her Amped Wall tactical ability taking three seconds to build instead of four, and her Sheila ultimate taking 1.25 seconds to spin up instead of two.

Caustic's gas has been tinkered with to remain strong, but less unforgiving to players it traps. While legends no longer get a blurred vision effect while in the gas, the damage they take has been upped from 4-10 ticks of damage to 6-12.

While Pathfinder's hitbox has been enlarged, he will keep the Low Profile perk at the start of Season 7.

Lastly, Pathfinder has received some major changes once again, as his win rate reportedly remains too high for Respawn's liking. In addition to making his hitbox a little easier to shoot, his Grappling Hook has received a more aggressive version of the changes last introduced in the 6.1 patch:

  • Pathfinder no longer needs to be on the ground for Grappling Hook to be considered finished.
  • The speed to which Pathfinder needs to drop for us to consider Grappling Hook finished was increased from 300 units/second to 500 units/second
  • The maximum cooldown grapple can be set to was lowered to 30 seconds, from 35 seconds; the maximum amount of travel time before a new cooldown is set is now 5 seconds, rather than being uncapped. This means that effectively, you can never incur more than a 35 second cooldown.
  • The amount of distance you can travel before you hit maximum cooldown was roughly doubled.

Lastly, bug fixes for Pathfinder, Wraith, Octane, Crypto, Revenant and Rampart are listed in the full Season 7 patch notes here.
