The best aim assist setting for Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 5 really depends on your unique needs, but we'll give you the tools to figure out which one is right for you. Please note that this does not apply to players who are using mouse and keyboard as aim assist is not an option in that case, of course.

For those on controller, aim assist gives players with that extra bit of help in getting their crosshair on the enemy. Sure, some might call it a crutch, but thumbsticks do not have the same level of refined movement as a mouse sensor.

Best Aim Assist Setting Warzone: Which to Use

There are four options to choose from for aim assist.

You can have aim assist disabled — much respect to you if this is what you prefer.

Standard aim assist is more suited for players who have been around controller FPS games for a while. According to the game, Standard will provide "traditional aim slowdown near target."

Precision aim assist is a strong aim slowdown that is only applied when aiming close to the target, so if you're strong with a controller and are capable of aiming precisely, this would theoretically elevate your game.

The final option is Focusing aim assist, which is said to kick in when you're just missing the target. This one is theoretically suited to the newer player who needs just a little bit of help finding their target.

Ultimately, the most common setup players seem to use is the Standard Aim Assist setting, paired with the Dynamic Aim Response Curve Type setting.

Of course, this is all entirely personal preference at the end of the day and you will certainly not regret playing a few rounds on each setting to see what feels the most comfortable for you.
