Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is an update to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's campaign mode and will only effect single player gameplay. According to the store listing that's available to users in Germany, the remastered campaign will have improved textures, animations, physical rendering, and lighting.

The multiplayer game modes will not be part of the remaster, but the game's classic maps, like Terminal, will be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in order to avoid splitting the Call of Duty community.
