Call of Duty: Vanguard: Loadouts Guide

Like we have seen in the recent installments of the Call of Duty franchise, the Gunsmith is back and it is updated. The Gunsmith is a place where Call of Duty fans have been able to go into and customize their guns to make them suit whatever playstyle they prefer and also change the cosmetics of each gun as well.

According to Sledgehammer Games, "The virtual gun bench takes the 100,000+ possible Custom Loadout combinations - just based on the Beta content alone - into the millions upon millions of possibilities, allowing players to custom-tailor a Loadout to further fit their person playstyle."

When it comes to picking attachments for your gun, in the Gunsmith, you will choose between all the options that fall under any of the following categories:

  • . Muzzle
  • Underbarrel
  • Barrel
  • Magazine
  • Ammo Type
  • Optic
  • Rear Grip
  • Stock
  • Proficiency
  • Kit

With your loadout, comes the very foundation of what can define your playstyle. The foundation I am talking about is the perks.

Perks are the bread and butter of each loadout and behind the guns, they are the most important part of a loadout. Over the years we have seen some game-changing perks become part of Call of Duty history due to their importance. Ghost, One Man Army, and Slight of Hand are just a few of the memorable perks throughout the franchise's history.

In Call of Duty: Vanguard, the three perk system has stayed the same and we do see some familiar names makin the return along with some new ones as well. The likes of Double Time, Tactician, Overkill, High Alert, Tracker, and of course Ghost are just some of the returning perks in Vanguard.

Field Upgrades are also back and as seen in the picture above, there is one specific Field Upgrade that resembles a Call of Duty piece of history

The field upgrades in Call of Duty: Vanguard are Supply Box, Field Mic, Dead Silence, Armor Plates, and Goliath. Goliath is the new addition to the group and it is a small remote control bomb that is motorized. It is this Call of Duty's version of the classic RC car.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the killstreaks. These are the way to go from a 25-kill game to 50. Whether you want to be a team player and run Spy Planes and Counter Spy Planes or run and gun while carrying around the War Machine, this game has everything for you.

The following is a list of the killstreaks in Call of Duty: Vanguard:

  • Intel
  • Glide Bomb
  • Attack Dogs
  • Spy Plane
  • Care Package
  • Counter Spy Plane
  • Deathmachine
  • Mortar Barrage
  • Warmachine
  • Flamenaut
  • V2 Rocket

The V2 Rocket and Flamenaut are both new kill streaks that resemble killstreaks from previous titles. The V2 Rocket is a nuke that ends a match whenever it is called in and when the Flamenaut is called in, your player receives a flamethrower with unlimited fuel.

Call of Duty season is almost upon us and as we get closer to release, look out for more information about loadouts.
