Picking a class in MMORPGs is a common, yet important decision. Often dictating the way you experience a game, classes effect your stats, abilities, and sometimes even the races and genders available to you in the character creation tool.

Lost Ark features five different classes to choose from, each with their own specializations and abilities. While each class has its own merits and challenges, some players might be more suited to one more than the other.

So, with this in mind, is it possible to change classes in Lost Ark if you feel you've made the wrong choice?

Can You Change Your Class in Lost Ark?

Unlike some of the other popular MMOs out in the world, Lost Ark actually locks your character into your chosen class. There's currently no way to change it without starting a new character.

While that might sound dishearting for some players, there is an item available that boosts a new character to level 50, meaning you can enjoy the endgame content with your new character. A Powerpass can be obtained after completing the Main Quest Ealyn’s Gift.

You'll be able to use it on any character you choose via the main menu. Players will need to complete the Adventurer’s Path quest with their new character first in order to get the boost.

Until Smilegate implements a way to more seemlessly change you class, which they might not, the Powerpass is your best option outside of starting a brand new character from scratch.
