Is Chivalry 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch? This much-hyped sequel to the popular 2013 first-person hack and slasher Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is arriving June 8. But will this game receive a Nintendo Switch port?

Is Chivalry 2 Coming to the Nintendo Switch?

Unfortunately, it appears that the answer is no, at least for now. The game will be coming out on all the other major consoles, including PC (where it will be an Epic Games exclusive for the first year) but Switch is a no-go. The game will have crossplay, indicating Torn Banner Studios prioritizes integration, so perhaps that's a factor. The Switch in terms of power can't hold up to consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, and new-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, as well as a PC, simply blow the Switch out of the water. Considering how multiplayer heavy Chivalry 2 is, it's likely a Switch port wasn't created to better balance the game.

Will a Switch port ever come?

It's unlikely to come soon, but it's not impossible. Apex Legends, for example, recently released on the Switch two years after it's release. That being said, the Switch port isn't as good as other ports, so some players are avoiding crossplay on it. It Chivalry 2 does come out on the Switch in the future. perhaps it'd be better off in its own ecosystem, without crossplay enabled. Only time will tell what direction this game takes down the road.
