In Dying Light 2 Stay Human, a major fork in the road that players will face while progressing through the main story is whether to continue working with Peacekeeper Commander Jack Matt or go behind his back to side with the underworld fixer Juan.

For those wondering how impactful this decision is with Aiden's standing among the factions, as well as which is the better choice overall, here's a breakdown of whether players should side with Matt or Juan in Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2 Juan or Matt: Which to Choose

In regards to the broader scope of the game, this is one of the most impactful choices that players have to make as you're locked into the ramifications of that decision almost immediately.

At this point in the story, Aiden is working with Jack Matt and the Peacekeepers as that's been his best lead so far in finding his sister, but Juan is egging the protagonist on to work with him instead.

Ultimately, players will still be able to make some other friends later if they don't feel particularly tied to Matt or Juan, as well as find Aiden's sister either way, so this choice comes down to whether or not you want to stick with the PKs.

If you agree to work with Juan and be a double agent against Matt, you won't be able to change sides again later and will have some new objectives focusing on sabotaging the Peacekeepers.

If you refuse Juan's offer, then business will continue running as usual with Aiden sticking to the plan with Matt and the Peacekeepers.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available now for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and the Techland Store).
