FIFA 23 Premier League Team of the Season Predictions

EA Sports

FIFA 23 Premier League Team of the Season predictions are here as one of the most anticipated Ultimate Team promotions of the year is around the corner.

Team of the Season is the largest FIFA Ultimate Team promotion each year with a multiple-week event where the best players from each league are honored with special items. The event culminates with the Ultimate TOTS featuring the best of the best available in packs for a limited time.

The Premier League is traditionally the first of the Top 5 leagues released following the Community TOTS which players can vote on now. But, the PL TOTS is where things really get exciting when EA Sports puts TOTS items in as red picks for FUT Champions.

FIFA 23 Premier League Team of the Season Predictions

Here's our prediction for the FIFA 23 Premier League Team of the Season.

Starting XI

  • GK: Nick Pope - Newcastle United
  • LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko - Arsenal
  • CB: Gabriel - Arsenal
  • CB: John Stones - Manchester City
  • RB: Kieran Trippier - Newcastle United
  • CM: Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City
  • CM: Rodri - Manchester City
  • CM: Martin Odegaard - Arsenal
  • LW: Marcus Rashford - Manchester United
  • ST: Erling Haaland - Manchester City
  • RW: Bukayo Saka - Arsenal

Reserves

  • LW: Gabriel Martinelli - Arsenal
  • LW: Jack Grealish - Manchester City
  • ST: Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur
  • CDM: Casemiro - Manchester United

We've only predicted 15 positions considering EA Sports only released 15 Premier League TOTS items in FIFA 22. That could change in FIFA 23, but we're using last year's release as a basis.

Goalkeepers and Defenders

Nick Pope has the joint-most clean sheets in the league and have Newcastle United fighting for a Champions League placing. He's tied with Manchester United's David De Gea, but Newcastle also have the best defensive record in the league conceding only 21 goals so far this campaign. That's 16 less goals than Manchester United have conceded.

Left-back is tough between Zinchecko and Newcastle United's Dan Burn, but considering how transformative Zinchenko has been to Arsenal's squad, he just edges out Burn. Gabriel has been a rock at LCB for the Gunners, and most Man City fans will say John Stones has been their best defender all season as City continues to fight for the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. Rounding out the backline is the best RB in the league, bar none this season, Kieran Trippier.

Midfielders

The midfield is pretty easy to predict. Odegaard is considered a favorite for the Player of the Year, De Bruyne is still one of the best players in the world pulling the strings for City and linking up with Haaland alongside Rodri.

Attackers

The attackers are easier to predict than the midfield. Haaland's scored 30 goals this season with nine more games to go, as of writing. Rashford has been Manchester United's talisman all season, and Bukayo Saka is in the conversation for POTY as well.

Reserves

Picking just four reserves is difficult, but Martinelli, Casemiro, Grealish and Kane should make it in. Other players that just miss out are likely to be released as TOTS or Moments cards as objectives or SBCs throughout the promotion.
