Fortnite Announces Star Wars May the 4th Event
Epic Games has announced a number of Star Wars-themed celebration in honor of Star Wars Day on May 4th, but the festivities will continue far beyond.
Today, as part of the latest v20.30 update in Fortnite, Epic Games has revealed their plans for Star Wars Day on May 4th. As part of the May the 4th celebrations, players will have the chance to battle it out with Lightsabers, pick up exclusive rewards, and purchase a selection of Star Wars-themed Outfits.
Of the weapons which have been unvaulted for the occasion, players can pick up the Lightsabers of Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan. These weapons can be found scattered across the Fortnite island. In addition, players can find the E-11 Blaster Rifle in Chests, as ground loot, or exchanged for Bars at Stormtrooper checkpoints.

Players can also get stuck into some special Star Wars quests, running from now until May 17 12 a.m. ET. Each May the 4th Quest rewards XP, and for completing five, you’ll earn an Empire Banner cosmetic.
Star Wars Outfits Return to Fortnite Item Shop for Star Wars Day 2022
A number of iconic Star Wars Outfits have also made a return to the Item Shop. These are:
- Imperial Stormtrooper
- Kylo Ren
- Zorii Bliss
- Finn
- Rey
- Sith Trooper
- Boba Fett
- Fennec Shand
- Krrsantan
The Fortnite May the 4th crossover runs from May 3 until May 17, 2022.
