God of War TV Series: Release Date, How to Watch, Cast, Streaming Service
A God of War TV show is in development. Here's what we know about it so far.
Following the rampant success of not only PlayStation's AAA release of God of War Ragnarök, but HBO's TV adaptation of The Last of Us, God of War is set to be one of the next video game franchises to receive the TV treatment. Plenty of other streaming services and networks are looking to get in on the action, including Amazon.
The company announced a Fallout TV adaptation back in July 2020, but have since decided that they weren't going to stop there. The upcoming God of War TV show will follow a similar storyline to the rebooted God of War (2018) which followed Kratos and his young son Atreus in the Norse realm of Midgard.
Which Streaming Service Will the God of War TV Show be On? How to Watch
The upcoming God of War TV show is being developed for Amazon's streaming service, Prime Video. Because of this, Amazon Prime Video will likely be the only place fans will be able to watch the show.
Sony confirmed the TV show during a PlayStation investor presentation in May 2022, anbd that it had been signed by Amazon Prime Video.

God of War TV Series Cast and Crew
Given that the show was only revealed to be in the works last year, news about the cast and crew for God of War has been sparce. That said, a number of names are reported to be attached to the project.
According to Deadline, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Iron Man, Children of Men) will serve as writers for the upcoming show. Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) will serve as showrunner. God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök co-director, Cory Barlog, will serve as an executive producer.

The cast for the show has yet to be announced either, however fans have petitioned for Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge (Stargate SG-1, X-Men: Evolution) to reprise his role. Atreus voice actor Sunny Suljic also expressed interest in returning to the role.
God of War TV Series Release Date
At the time of writing, a window of release for the upcoming God of War TV show has yet to be revealed. The show has not yet begun filming, and casting has not been determined. Fan should anticipate a late-2024 air date at the earliest.
