Only one Fortnite weapon was unvaulted on Jan. 30, and it brings a little flare from Fortnite Last Resort.

Coming after the unprecendented success of Fortnite OG, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 had huge expectations. Although the fresh Chapter started off with a bang, featuring an Eminem concert, a new map, and weapon mods, not much has happened since Winterfest 2023 ended. In fact, the scarce updates have rarely provided fans with new weapons or exciting skins, and today's patch, providing only a single Battle Royale change, is no exception.

Here's Which Fortnite Weapon Was Unvaulted on Jan. 30

Epic Games unvaulted Business Turrets on Jan. 30 as the only change to the current loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. The item was a staple in the heist-themed Chapter 4 Season 4, especially when breaking in and out of Kado Thorne's vaults. Simply throw the briefcase to activate its turret that will shoot any nearby enemies.

Beyond the return of Business Turrets, the hotfix mainly served to bring stability to Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. The servers have been uncharacteristically unstable ever since the new Chapter arrived, and Epic Games has finally delivered a patch that will hopefully prevent crashes in all game modes.

The official Fortnite Status account on X posted, "Heya everyone! We've released an update to fix a number of stability and crashing issues. Please fully close out Fortnite and relaunch to download it."

Fans hoping for additional weapon changes or other noteworthy unvaults will have to wait another week for the next Fortnite patch.

Fortnite Update v28.20 Release Date

Fortnite update v28.20 will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024. The next major patch coming to the Battle Royale is rumored to include the Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Part 2 collaboration, bringing a Shredder skin, new quests, and possibly even a mini-Battle Pass to the game.

Once Fortnite update v28.20 drops, there will only be one other Fortnite update (v28.30) coming in Fortnite Underground until Chapter 5 Season 2 arrives on Mar. 8, 2024.
