Horizon Forbidden West Roadmap: Trophy Guide

Now that Horizon Forbidden West has finally launched, the race to platinum for PlayStation trophy hunters is officially on.

Ultimately, as opposed to its predecessor, the Platinum Trophy grind is significantly easier in Horizon Forbidden West as it only requires about 50% overall completion of the game. For those looking to get the Platinum Trophy as soon as possible, here is a trophy roadmap guide for Horizon Forbidden West.

Ultimately, it takes about 30-75 hours to hit platinum in Horizon Forbidden West. The reason for the wide range is that unlike with the first game's "collect everything" setup, achieving the Platinum Trophy here can be done simply by sampling a bit of everything and playing the game as you want without having to go out of your way too much.

There are 59 trophies to be had overall and only one of them is missable: a Silver Trophy called "All Machine Types Scanned."

This is because three of the 43 Machines in Horizon Forbidden West, as outlined in the Notebook area of the menu screen, only spawn during quests and don’t have open-world spawns.

The first is the Corruptor, which can only be scanned during the "Faro’s Tomb" quest, while the Spectre and Spectre Prime can be found in final main story quest "Singularity." In the case of the Spectre Prime, if you do die during the final boss fight, you indeed must rescan it.
