Now that the highly anticipated action RPG sequel has finally been released on PlayStation consoles, many are wondering just how long one playthrough would take. Here's a breakdown of how long it takes to beat Horizon Forbidden West.

How Long Does it Take to Beat Horizon Forbidden West?
Horizon Forbidden West is designed to be an immersive open world, filled with adventure, culture and opportunity. But it is also vast and deadly, filled with ancient ruins, awe-inspiring machines and hidden threats.
As such, it's certainly no surprise that players are wondering just how long the game is considering it's designed to pull you in and allow you to experience everything at your own pace.
That being said, beating just the 17 main story missions in Horizon Forbidden West alone would take around 30 hours to accomplish:

Of course, with there being RPG elements, hunting challenges, fighting arenas, environmental puzzles and more, it's likely that the average player sampling most of what the game has to offer would take around 40-50 hours before beating the game.
Lastly, completing absolutely everything in Horizon Forbidden West would probably take 80-100+ hours.
Overall, this is indeed an improvement on its predecessor as Horizon Zero Dawn required roughly 23 hours to beat the main story, around 40 hours to dabble in some extra stuff along the way as well and about 60 hours to complete everything.
