To beat Darth Vader in Fortnite, you have to find him first. You also have to be the first to take him down.

Darth Vader arrived to Fortnite earlier this week, with Epic Games encouraging gamers to go and get him this morning on Twitter.

How to Beat Darth Vader in Fortnite

Here is a quick three step guide to defeat the Sith Lord in Battle Royale.

1. Follow his ship.

Soon after the Battle Bus enters the map, Vader's ship will fly alongside it, as if Vader himself is inside thumbing his nose at players saying "come and get me." Pay close attention to where he lands. As a random-spawn NPC, Vader's ship will land at a different spot each round. Don't worry if you miss him, a beacon of red light marks his landing place.

2. Drop in, but not too close.

It's probably smart to grab a bit of loot before you confront him. He does, after all, have unparalleled command of the force. You might want something to slay him with, other than a pickaxe. A few shields may not hurt either.

3. Shoot him.

Careful, Vader comes equipped with two Stormtroopers for company, and they aren't very friendly. Although their aim in the game is true to their big-screen reputation, their health stats are solid. When confronting Vader himself, be mindful of his agility. For his age, the guy does a lot of flipping around. He also deflects bullets well with his light saber.

After that, his lightsaber is all yours.
