How to Check Mail in Borderlands 3

If you've been playing Borderlands long enough, you'll start to notice that there is a small mail icon underneath the mini map. This means it's time to check your mail! The mailbox in Borderlands 3 is how you can obtain gear, some of which you can sell and make some extra money.

How to Check Mail in Borderlands 3

To access the social tab, head to the start menu navigate to "social". Once done, you are now able to check your mail and collect all your gear. In addition to the mailbox, the social tab comes with a litany of other functions such as the ability to invite and interact with friends, livestream, send mail to other players and to use SHiFT codes which can be used to obtain Golden keys and other loot. The social tab is also required to access all DLC in the future.
