Loba's Heirloom is finally coming to Apex Legends! Regarded as the rarest item in the game, Heirlooms are a testament to a character's past and allow players to change the skin of a character’s melee weapon. Prior to Season 14, only 10 out of the 22 Legends in Apex Legends have the Mythic-tier cosmetic item. However at the start of the new season, on Sept. 20, Loba will finally be gaining her own Heirloom after being introduced in the game, nine seasons ago, in season five.

How to Earn Loba's New Heirloom in Apex Legends

The name of Loba's Heirloom, the Garra de Alanza, translates from Portuguese to "Alanza's Claw.” It is a folding fan made of metal with five, red-tipped knives on its ends. Also coinciding with the start of the Beast of Pray event, there are multiple ways for players to get their hands on the Translocating Thief's Heirloom.

1. This item will be available in the game’s exclusive shop for 150 Heirloom Shards.
This is the most common way to get Heirlooms in the game. Players are able to test their luck and earn Heirloom Shards through Apex Packs. Each pack is worth 100 of the in-game currency, Apex Coins which equates to $1. Packs are also obtainable through leveling-up

Unfortunately, Heirloom Shards are extremely rare in Apex Packs, with a 1% chance of receiving them. If a player does not get Heirloom shards after opening 499 packs, the game has a mechanic where players are guaranteed them in opening their 500th Apex Pack.

2. The Beast of Prey Event
In this limited-time event that runs from Sept. 20 to Oct. 4, players can get Loba's Heirloom by unlocking all 24 items in the Beast of Prey collection. This is purchasable in the game-exclusive shop through Apex Coins or Crafting Metals. The downside to this method is the price, costing players around $160.
