We’ve put together a guide on how to evolve Eevee into all eight of its evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

As the latest release, it would have been an injustice to leave out any Eevee-lutions from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. All eight are available in-game from the Kanto trio to the recently discovered Sylveon. Of course, like the previous titles, each form has its own requirements that trainers need to meet in order to successfully prompt the desired Pokemon. We’ve laid each one out below according to their release date from earliest to most recent.

Here’s how to evolve Eevee in Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and/or Sylveon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

How to Evolve Eevee in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

First, trainers will need to find an Eevee and decide what form they’d like it to take. Those hoping to find Eevee can check out our companion article for more information on where Eevee spawns in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Fortunately, it can be accessed fairly early in the game, so it shouldn’t take long to find one.

We’ve listed each Eeveelution under its own subheading in chronological order of release starting with the first Generation.

Flareon

Trainers can cevolve Eevee into Flareon by showing it a Fire Stone.

Evolutionary items like this one can be obtained by looking for buried treasure with Ursaluna, purchasing from the Item Exchange for 1000 Merit Points, breaking open rocks and ores, and found in Space-Time Distortions.

Jolteon

Eevee evolves into Jolteon when shown a Thunder Stone.

Thunder Stones can be found in the same manner and by using the same methods as Fire Stones.

Vaporeon

Eevee can evolve into Vaporeon by using a Water Stone.

Water Stones can be obtained using the same methods as other evolutionary items like Fire and Thunder Stones.

Espeon

To evolve Eevee into Espeon, trainers need to maximize their friendship with it. Friendship can be checked by speaking with Belamy in the southeastern part of Jubilife Village. When trainers are told they are “fast friends” with Eevee, it is eligible for evolution into Espeon.

Eevee evolves into Espeon during the day when it does not have fairy-type moves in its move pool.

Umbreon

Like Espeon, trainers can only evolve their Eevee into Umbreon once they’ve maximized their friendship with it. They need to be “fast friends” with Eevee before it is eligible for evolution in this way.

Eevee evolves into Umbreon at night when it does not have fairy-type moves in its move pool.

Glaceon

Eevee can evolve into Glaceon when shown an Ice Stone or when leveled up near the Icy Rock in the Alabaster Icelands.

Trainers can get an Ice Stone in the same way they would a Fire, Thunder, or Water Stone.

Leafeon

Trainers can evolve Eevee into Leafeon by giving it a Leaf Stone or by leveling it up near the Mossy Rock in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Leaf Stones can be obtained like Ice, Water, Fire, and Thunder Stones.

Sylveon

Eevee can evolve into Sylveon when it has high enough friendship with its trainer and knows a fairy-type move. The first fairy-type move in its move pool, Baby-Doll Eyes, can be learned at level 18. However, should it be above this level and no longer have this move, it can be relearned or changed prior to evolution eligibility.
