Thanks to a surprise new Fortnite x Guardians of the Galaxy collaboration, fans can now get Groot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.

Fortnite is no stranger to Marvel crossovers. Over the years, we have seen Epic Games partner with Disney to bring the MCU's biggest heroes to Fortnite, including Spider-Man, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and more. In fact, there are only a few Avengers that never made it to the Battle Royale, including fan-favorite characters, Drax and Mantis. Fortunately, the Guardians of the Galaxy stars have finally arrived in update 29.10, and they brought with them an updated Young Adult Groot skin.

How to Get Groot in Fortnite

To get Groot in Fortnite, you must purchase the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack once it releases in the Item Shop. The pack will be found in the "Special Offers & Bundles" tab in the Fortnite Item Shop.

The Marvel-themed pack not only includes the Young Adult Groot skin, but also Mantis and Drax skins. Now, almost every character from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has appeared in Fortnite.

How Much Does Groot Cost in Fortnite? Answered

Unfortunately, fans will not be able to use V-Bucks to purchase Groot in Fortnite, per reliable Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey. The Guardians of the Galaxy Pack is a real money bundle, but it does not have a specified price just yet.

Based on past Marvel real money bundles, like the Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack, we expect the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack to cost close to $24.99.

When is Groot Coming to Fortnite? Answered

Groot could be coming to Fortnite as early as today, Mar. 26, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. Leakers revealed the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack was added to the game during today's downtime, so now it is only a matter of time before Groot, Drax, and Mantis arrive in the Item Shop.
