Getting Mantis in Fortnite is a bit more expensive than fans might expect.

Fortnite update v29.10 dropped today, delivering several weapon changes to Epic Games' Battle Royale, including a nerf to the Frenzy Auto Shotgun and a buff to the Drum Gun. The new patch also unveiled the Korra cosmetics coming in just one week as part of the Fortnite x Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration. As always, leakers found even more cosmetics set to release in Fortnite throughout the update, including Mantis from Guardians of the Galaxy.

How to Get Mantis in Fortnite

To get Mantis in Fortnite, players must purchase the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack from the Item Shop once it releases. The pack includes Mantis, Drax, and Groot skins, as well as character-inspired Pickaxes, Back Blings, and Emotes.

Check out all the Mantis cosmetics available in the Fortnite Guardians of the Galaxy Pack:

  • Mantis skin
  • Insectoid Claws Pickaxe
  • Lil Abilisk Back Bling

Unlike Groot and Drax, Mantis does not appear to have an Emote.

How Much Does Mantis Cost in Fortnite? Answered

Reliable Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey, revealed the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack is a real money bundle. Therefore, players will not be able to use V-Bucks to purchase Mantis in Fortnite. Instead, fans will have to pay likely anywhere from $16.99 to $24.99.

The Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack in Fortnite was $24.99, so expect the price of the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack to be on the more expensive side of our predicated range.

When is Mantis Coming to Fortnite? Answered

Mantis is coming to Fortnite sometime in update v29.10. Leakers revealed Epic Games uploaded the Guardians of the Galaxy Pack during the update's downtime, so it is only a matter of time before it appears in the Item Shop. In fact, some claim is could come as early as today's Item Shop rotation at 8 p.m. ET.
