Pokémon GO has over 800 Pokémon in total that players can find and collect, making it extremely tricky for players to figure out how to get the exact Pokémon they want. Silcoon is bug-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO that can only be obtained by evolving Wurmple. However, since Wurmple has multiple evolution paths, this can be a bit tricky. Here's what players need to do to evolve Wurmple properly to get Silcoon.
How to Get Silcoon in Pokémon GO
Wurmple has the chance to evolve into either Silcoon or Cascoon. Silcoon then evolves into Beautifly, while Cascoon evolves in Dustox. Unlike Eevee, who has certain cheat codes to influence what Evolution it evolves into, whether Wurmple evolves into Silcoon or Cascoon is completely random. This means players have a 50/50 chance to get either Silcoon or Cascoon every time they evolve a Wurmple.
It costs 12 Wurmple Candy to evolve Wurmple into its first Evolution phase. Since it's a 50/50 chance, players are bound to get the Evolution they want after a few tries. Once evolved into Silcoon, players can spend another 50 Candy to evolve Silcoon into Beautifly. Unlike the first phase of evolution, the second phase is always the same (Silcoon to Beautifly and Cascoon to Dustox).
