Windows of Opportunity can be a useful perk, particularly for newer players. Here's how to get it.

Windows of Opportunity is a perk that allows survivors to see the Auras of breakable walls, pallets, and vaults within a 20 meter radius. Despite its supposed usefulness, the perk has been frequently shunned by players in the Dead By Daylight community. When it was first introduced, it had a 40 second cooldown even at Tier 3 which made it a pretty poor choice for a long time.

Fortunately, the perk received a buff which slashed the cooldown time in half. Now, at Tier 3, the Windows of Opportunity perk only has a 20 second cooldown, making it a perfect companion to the Quick and Quiet perk. Windows of Opportunity can provide players with a great advantage, reducing the chance of running around aimlessly or heading towards already broken pallets. Knowing exactly where to run can give experienced Survivors the upperhand and, when used with some other great escape perks, can ensure that you're never caught out in the open.

So, how can you get your hands on this particular perk?

Windows of Opportunity is a Teachable Perk, unique to Survivor Kate Denson. It can be unlocked for all other Survivors from Level 35. The Teachable Perk costs 5,000 Bloodpoints.

At Tier 1, Windows of Opportunity has a 30 second cooldown. This drops to 25 seconds at Tier 2, then 20 seconds for Tier 3. The perk also shows the Aura for Illusionary Pallets and for Pallets and Windows blocked by The Entity. It's certainly a useful one when playing as a Solo Survivor, allowing players to easily keep track of pallets and breakable walls in an area and prevent themselves from running into a dead end.

So, give it a try and see if you can use it to your advantage. It's not a perk for everyone, but use it effectively and it might just save your skin.
