Fans are now wondering how can they Mega Evolve Pidgeot in Pokemon GO?
With the introduction of the Kanto starters’ Mega-Evolved forms in Pokemon GO, many of the series’ fan-favorite monsters have followed suit with their own powered-up versions. The latest two Pokemon to receive their Mega forms in Pokemon GO are Beedrill and Pidgeot.
Mega Evolutions were introduced for select Pokemon in the Pokemon X and Y games, with more monsters gaining the ability in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Mega Evolution allows Pokemon to gain a temporary boost in power during battle, attaining new forms with new abilities that wear off when switched out or defeated.
The evolutions could only be attained if the Pokemon held their respective mega stone, which occupied an item slot during battle. The presence of the Mega Evolution ability has become nonexistent in the following titles, though Pokemon GO still has this fan-favorite mechanic.
