How to save in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is something that many players are wondering about at the moment now that the newest title in the long-beloved series has finally been released worldwide.

In any action-adventure game, saving is something every player must know how to do, of course. As such, here's a breakdown of how to save in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Saving Guide

It certainly makes sense why players are confused a bit on how to save in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga as, unfortunately, there simply isn't a way to manually save the game despite the fact that you can have multiple playthroughs.

This is because Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga uses an auto-save system only.

While this is a bit of a sketchy design choice, the auto-save feature itself thankfully appears to be reliable.

There are a handful of auto-save triggers that players can rely on in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is indicated when a spinning lightsaber icon appears on the lower-right corner of the screen.

First and foremost, the game auto-saves each time players acquire any collectible (e.g. Minikit or Kyber Brick) while exploring.

Secondarily, while in story missions, the game auto-saves every time between cutscenes and different parts of levels.

For those moments where you are in need of surefire auto-save, players can pause the game and quit to the main menu or quit the mission. Doing so will save all collectible progress, but will likely set players back to the start of the mission unless they happened to activate another auto-save point.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available now for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC.
