In WWE 2K22, there are many grapples, weapons, and strikes you can use to inflict damage on your opponents. One of these is a submission, where you are trying to make your opponent tap out to a strong hold you have on one of their damaged body parts, like Bret Hart's Sharpshooter or Rick Flair's Figure-Four Leglock.

There are different types of submissions available to use in WWE 2K22, but they are all performed the same way. Here's how to use submissions in WWE 2K22.

How to Perform Submissions in WWE 2K22

To use a normal submission move on your opponent, all you have to do is hold the R2/RT button on your controller, or the equivalent on PC, as well as the circle/B button on your controller. This attack will trigger a mini-game where you have to spam prompted buttons as fast as you can to fill a submission meter, causing you to make your opponent submit and win your match.

It's important to use submissions that are inflicting damage on already injured body parts on your opponent. In the HUD, you can see a map of damage on your opponents body, so try to attack the specific body part you will perform a submission on (for examples, attack legs for the Figure-Four Leglock). That way, you can submit your opponent much easier.

If you have a submission set as your signature or finisher, you would instead use the signature/finisher button prompted on your screen when you have it, and you will be in an even better position to tap your opponent out.
