Is Dez Bryant in Madden 21? Not yet, but soon!

The Baltimore Ravens followed in the footsteps of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and made a splash wide receiver signing by picking up Dez Bryant in free agency.

Ravens fans are celebrating as the rich continue to get richer. However the 5-1 Ravens receiver rank last in the NFL in receptions (58) and receiving yards (737) and could definitely use Bryant to add another weapon on the outside for reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. But enough of the real-life stats. WHEN WILL BRYANT BE IN MADDEN 21?

As mentioned when talking about the Antonio Brown signing, we don't know for sure when EA will make the move and put Bryant in the game. The roster updates happen after every week, but with Bryant only being signed to the practice squad, I am not sure how EA will go about this decision.

Bryant last played in the NFL two years ago in Dec. 2017. In Nov. 2018, he signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, but tragically tore his Achilles tendon during his first NFL practice and has not returned since.

This is his second go-around with the Ravens, who brought Bryant in for a workout two months ago but sent him home and told him to improve his conditioning.

His overall rating is the next question Madden 21 players want answered. From 2015 to 2018, Bryant was one of the best wide receivers in the game. Boasting overall ratings of 94, 96, 90, and 91. The injuries destroyed his overall rating in 2019 and 2020 with a 81 and 79, respectively.

I think it is fair to assume that he would probably drop a few more points to about a 77 overall in Madden 21.

The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was beyond gracious for the opportunity afforded to him by the Baltimore Ravens, and Madden 21 players are probably echoing the same sort of emotions.

If Bryant can earn his way into that Ravens receiving corps that is in desperate need of a physical possession-type receiver, he could get his overall rating adjusted throughout the year.
