League of Legends Fiddlesticks lore and abilities are important to know with a rework on the horizon, as the Harbinger of Doom looks set to finally live up to the name in-game based on early gameplay and design footage released by Riot Games earlier this week.

League of Legends Fiddlesticks Lore

Fiddlesticks is an ancient monster in the League of Legends lore, with a form that permanently destroys the minds of even those who survive their encounters with the great evil that has no name, no thoughts, or no understanding of the world around it.

For years, Fiddlesticks' design and graphics have fallen far short of the terror that the lore paints him to be, that is, until now. The planned rework for Fiddlesticks will turn him into a terror that will frighten even the most hardened players on Summoner's Rift.

The rework will affect most abilities in Fiddlesticks' kit, including his warding trinket, and make the champion into the haunting nightmare that most Runeterrans know him to be.

A Harmless Scarecrow (Passive)

Fiddlestick's trinket is replaced by Scarecrow Effigies that are exact copies of Fiddlesticks that grant vision like normal wards. If an enemy champion approaches one of these scarecrows, it takes a random action after which the effigy destroys itself. After level 6, placing a Scarecrow Effigy will also reveal nearby wards for six seconds.

Terrify (Q)

Fiddlesticks now terrifies enemies if he damages them while remaining unseen from an out of combat state, causing them to flee in the opposite direction. He can also cast Terrify on an enemy champion that will terrify them, or on a recently Terrified enemy champion that will deal double damage instead of applying Terrify again.

Bountiful Harvest (W)

Fiddlesticks will drain the souls of nearby enemies, damaging them continuously for a few seconds and healing Fiddlesticks. If Bountiful Harvest fully channels, the cooldown is partially refunded.

Reap (E)

Fiddlesticks damages and slows enemies in a crescent-shaped area in front of him, with enemies in the center getting silenced.

Crowstorm (R)

Fiddlesticks briefly channels a blink to the target location while damaging nearby enemies for the next several seconds.

Fiddlesticks Rework Release Date

The reworked Fiddlesticks will likely hit live servers on Patch 10.8, which is expected to be released on April 15.
