There are countless outlets to purchase these gift cards from, some you might not even expect. Of course, people can always buy Riot Points directly from the League of Legends launcher. In fact, buying through the launcher nets purchasers bonus Riot Points, up to 2000 bonus RP for a $100 purchase.

But there is little fun in buying RP online, a gift card lets unsuspecting recipients open it up and wonder what they’ll get.

Every major retailer should have League of Legends gift cards; Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other big box stores. Typically, these will range from $10 to $100.

However, if stores are out of cards don’t fret, there are plenty of other ways to get a gift card. Many people don’t know this, but the League of Legends client actually has a way to exchange other gift cards for in-game currency. Currently, it is limited to CVS and Dollar General gift cards, but giving someone either of these gift cards will essentially be the same as giving them a League of Legends gift card.

First, they’ll have to go into the League of Legends store and click on “Purchase RP,” in that menu there will be an option to redeem CVS or Dollar General gift cards. This is also the same place people with regular League of Legends gift cards will go to redeem their currency.
