League of Legends Jungler Tier List: Best Junglers as of Patch 10.4
By Blake Toman
League of Legends jungler tier list got some changes after Patch 10.4 drastically changed the role.
The jungle is constantly undergoing changes in League of Legends, making it one of the most difficult roles to play and one of the most important roles to play well. With the release of League of Legends Patch 10.5 on the horizon, here is our League of Legends jungle tier list that will help you pick the right champion to get your team a win on Summoners Rift.
League of Legends Jungler Tier List: Best Junglers as of Patch 10.5
League of Legends S Tier Junglers
- Lee Sin - Difficult
- Elise - Difficult
- Karthus
- Sejuani
- Master Yi* - Funnel
The kings of the jungle have been the same for some time and that's largely due to the major experience changes that narrowed the number of viable junglers and created an entirely different play style for the role. Lee Sin, Elise, and Sejuani can all survive relatively well in the jungle and can pull of ganks relatively well. Karthus relies on simply scaling and buying a few magic penetration items.
Lee Sin and Elise are only top tier when paired with a player who is mechanically skilled enough to make full use of their kits. Most players in low elos should avoid these two mechanically intense champions and play something more like Sejauni, Rek'Sai, or Sett.
Master Yi is included on this list due to the prevalent funneling strategy that has given a Taric an unheard of 63 percent win rate in the mid lane. When paired with a Taric, Master Yi turns into a monster who can hit his impressive power spikes even earlier in the game.
League of Legends A Tier Junglers
- Olaf - Difficult
- Jarvan IV
- Rek'Sai
- Sett
- Zac
- Shaco - Difficult
By no means are any of these junglers bad picks, in fact, they often are great choices depending on your team composition and the enemy team composition. Shaco and Olaf are by far the most difficult to pull of on this last, as their play style relies on coordination and mechanical skill. Zac, Sett, Rek'Sai, and Jarvan IV all can pull of ganks in the early to mid game and scale relatively well into the late game.
League of Legends B Tier Junglers
- Trundle
- Nunu
- Nocturne
- Amumu
- Ekko - Difficult
- Nidalee - Difficult
- Xin Zhao
- Rengar
- Qiyana - Difficult
These champions are not terrible in the jungle either and most are viable with most team compositions and skill levels. But a few of these junglers tend to struggle if not ahead early and with jungle experience significantly lowered can find it hard to stay relevant after level 6.
Qiyana and Nidalee are both very strong picks at the moment but the high level of mechanical skill required to make these picks succeed makes them difficult to pull of in solo queue.
League of Legends C Tier Junglers
- Taliyah
- Ivern - Difficult
- Kindred
- Kayn
- Vi
- Warwick
- Graves
- Shyvana
- Rammus
- Cho'Gath
- Volibear
- Hecarim
- Maokai
These junglers are fine to play if you are incredibly familiar with the champion's kit and it's power at most stages of the game. Most of these junglers will struggle against players on S Tier or A Tier junglers that are familiar with their champions, but can still be useful depending on how they are played in the mid game.
League of Legends D Tier Junglers
- Gragas
- Skarner
- Fiddlesticks
- Jax
- Udyr
- Maokai
- Sion
- Evelynn - Difficult
- Kha'Zix - Difficult
- Dr. Mundo
- Diana
- Pantheon
- Malphite
- Garen
- Darius
- Quinn
- Mordekaiser
- Sylas
- Talon
These junglers should generally be avoided in solo queue as they are significantly weaker than most other junglers and have counterparts in higher tiers that have similar, but more effective, kits. There are also champions on this last are reliant on snowballing early in order to be relevant, like Kha'Zix and Jax. Without early kills and pressure, the champions require too much gold to be effective and often fall far behind of other champions and laners, making it difficult to recover.
Also, a lot of champions effected by the recent jungle pool buffs, like Zed and Gnar fall under this category. They're just too weak as currently designed to be viable in the jungle.
