League of Legends Preseason 2021 is quickly approaching, which means there's a lot to be excited about. End of season awards will be released based on your final rank and new features will hit the rift. The upcoming preseason comes with plenty of exciting updates, from brand new items to updated stats on effects on existing items. Let's take a look at the top five most exciting plans for League of Legends 2021 preseason.

League of Legends Preseason 2021: 5 Reasons to be Excited

1. Mythic and Legendary Items

League of Legends Preseason 2021 is bringing in over 30 mythic and legendary items. Many are replacing currents items to give players a better sense of what they should be building on their champion and allow new players a clearer understanding of what items will work best in different situations. Each role is receiving at least one new or updated item to improve their ability to help their team.

2. Item Shop Update

The item shop has remained stagnant for many seasons so an update to the shop in the upcoming preseason is super exciting. The update looks to focus on revamping the recommendation page to make build paths cleaner and easier to follow.

3. Behavioral System Update

League of Legends, like most games, is always struggling with toxic behavior from players that ruin the experience for everyone else. Preseason 2021 will introduce updated behavioral systems to help catch and prevent toxic players from ruining games and making the climb up the ranked ladder nearly impossible.

4. Updated Jungle Items

Preseason 2021 is set to unveil an update to jungle items that follows the same update support items received in the previous preseason. Junglers will no longer be forced to finish their jungle item because it will only remain a starting item. This will allow junglers a greater variety in item building without locking them down a strict path early on.

5. Item Cleanup

In addition to the numerous new items being released in the coming preseason, currents items are going to be refined to slim down and focus on the stats and buffs they were designed to deliver. This will help improve gameplay and prevent champions from abusing buffs and stats never fully designed for them.
