League of Legends Preseason 2021 is fast approaching with the end of Season 10 coming in early November. This means a ton of new updates are coming to League of Legends, which can make the game feel brand new again.

Preseason 2021 is rolling out vast new changes with hopes of making League of Legends a more enjoyable experience for both veteran and new players. An entire arsenal of new items is being unleashed, which sounds daunting for new players still trying to figure things out, but with those items is coming a new in-game item shop to make build paths clearer. Let's take a deeper look into everything we know so far about the upcoming League of Legends preseason.

League of Legends Preseason 2021: Everything We Know so Far

1. New Items

League of Legends Preseason 2021 will see the implementation of a new item class called mythic. Mythic items will be limited to one per player, but will offer unique bonuses to legendary items. Riot Games is introducing 21 mythic items with distinct play styles in mind for who and what situation calls for what mythic item. There will also be 14 new legendary items and multiple updates to current legendary items.

2. New Item Shop

With Preseason 2021 comes a new item shop. The updates will allow the shop to process what items you already own and shows recommends the items you could build into using that data. The shop is also programed to account for what high level players are building on your champion. A great new feature for newer players analyzes the enemy team and makes suggestions based on their champion stats throughout the game.

3. Improved Item Balancing

Part of League of Legends Preseason 2021 is a new approach for Riot Games developers on balancing items. Many items have been tinkered with during the past seasons leaving them with unwanted stat buffs and effects. This makes build pathing sometimes difficult and confusing. Riot changing its approach by tackling overworked items and cleaning them up to bring them back to their original design and purpose gives the game a cleaner feel.
