Legends of Runeterra Patch 2.13: 3 Best Decks to Play
By Jacquelyn Li
As of Patch 2.13.0, Legends of Runeterra's meta game is not yet fully settled after two major expansions in a row. Thanks to a huge balance patch and the recent addition of two new champions, the decks available to play are still incredibly diverse, and plenty of new and old archetypes are seeing success on the ladder.
That being said, there are still a few decks that are coming out on top. If you're looking to rank up in Legends of Runeterra this patch, here are the three best decks to play that will surely boost your win rate.
Legends of Runeterra Patch 2.13: 3 Best Decks to Play
1. Pirate Aggro
Sample decklist here. Pirate Aggro features champions Miss Fortune and Gangplank, and is an aggressive deck that looks to end the game as quickly as possible. Chip away at their health with your early Noxus units, add some burn damage from Miss Fortune, then swing in with Gangplank or Decimate to close out the game.
2. Sivir combo
Sample decklist here. Sivir combo utilizes the many spells in Ionia to buff up your units and deliver devastating damage, all in one turn. Previously, the deck ran Zed with Sivir, but some are now running a few copies of Akshan in place of Zed. The game plan is simple: buff up a unit with Quick Attack, give it Elusive or Overwhelm, and then give it Double Attack with Flurry of Fists. Sometimes, that can be enough to OTK the opponent.
3. Irelia Azir
Sample decklist here. Yes, Irelia Azir is back again at the top of the metagame, but it's in a healthier spot than it was before. The nerfs to the archetype brought it down a bit, but it recuperated quickly with the addition of Twin Disciplines and Defiant Dance. The deck's goal is to deliver unending waves of attacks using Blades and Sand Soldiers, all while massively buffing a Sparring Student or Greenglade Duo.
The metagame may settle soon, but don't count on it staying for long, because the new 10th region expansion is coming on Aug. 25. Look out for card teasers and new updates leading up to the expansion!
