Loba Apex Legends Voice Actor - Who is Fryda Wolff?

Loba Apex Legends voice actor has been revealed since the announcement of the new character to accompany the release of Season 5. Respawn Entertainment has been providing the best of the best when it comes to in-game voice talent, and this time is no exception. 

With a level of wordplay that is beyond epic, Respawn has announced that Fryda Wolff will be voicing Loba, the newest addition to Apex Legends. Fryda Wolff has a gaming resume that is beyond expansive, working in the industry since the age of 18 and for developers and publishers from Sony, to the highest-profile AAA studios around the world. She most recently worked on Final Fantasy VII: Remake, which released April 10.

Created by Tom Casiello and written by Ashley Reed, Loba was inspired by the strong, empowered women of the WWE that Casiello had the pleasure of writing the engaging, over the top storylines for. Reed wrote Loba evidently as “Catwoman with Batman’s backstory.” And the design as well as story had the full signed-on support of the female constituents at Respawn Entertainment before being announced to the public; in order to create a strong, female character that according to Casiello, did not have her sexuality “erased.” 

Loba, meaning “she-wolf” in Spanish, was written by Reed while being inspired by other strong female gaming leads such as Bayonetta. Reed mentioned that she wrote Loba while listening to Shakira’s single “She-Wolf” in both English and Spanish, in which the Spanish version also just so happens to share the name of the new character - played ironically by someone named Wolff. 

Apex Legends Season 5 will release on May 12, after initially being delayed a week. "We’re also extending Season 4 by one week, giving those who want to grind out their Battle Pass or try and hit that next level of Ranked a little more time to do so before Season 5 kicks off on May 12", Respawn announced during the announcement for the Battle Armor Event. 

Loba’s abilities in Apex Legends have not been yet announced by Respawn, but dataminers have already begun digging and have documented potential abilities and ultimates based on the in-game data. Regardless, you can expect Respawn Entertainment to make an official announcement regarding Lobo’s playstyle soon.
