Minecraft Dungeons Rune Locations: Every Location in the Game

Minecraft Dungeons rune locations are difficult to find, and scattered throughout the game. Here are all of the rune locations in Minecraft Dungeons.

Minecraft Dungeons Rune Locations

There are nine rune locations in total. Collecting them grants access to the secret level titled "Moo?" but is more commonly referred to as the Secret Cow Level. After collecting the rune, players do not need to finish the level.

1. Creeper Woods Rune Location

The rune is near the very last objective: to free five villagers. Clear the enemies then go to the south-west corner and find cobblestone and stone brick sections. Interact with a button in the cobblestone and a doorway will open. Enter it and walk to the end, interact with the next button, then interact with the object that spawns.

2. Cacti Canyon Rune Location

To get the rune, play until you have to "find the golden key". Before you enter the area with the blue key, investigate behind the plant on the left-hand side of the gate. Interact with the button and an entrance will appear behind the blue key.

3. Soggy Swamp Rune Location

After destroying the cauldron, look for the stone pillar with vines hanging from it. Press the button hidden in the mushrooms, enter the doorway, walk to and interact with the next button, and then interact with the object that spawns.

4. Pumpkin Pastures Rune Location

The rune is about halfway through this mission, when your objective is to find the village, you'll find a long castle wall. Behind the boxes is a button that reveals a doorway at the end with the rune inside.

5. Redstone Mines Rune Location

The rune is near the freeing five villagers objective. To find it, head to the far side of the room, just before you leave to the next section. At the top will be a button behind some redstone. Push it and another door will open. All that's left is to enter the doorway, walk to the end, interact with the next button, and then interact with the object that spawns.

6. Desert Temple Rune Location

This next rune is easier to find. After you pick up the gold key, look behind the palm tree in the adjacent room to find another button.

7. Fiery Forge Rune Location

This rune is close to the start of the level. When you enter the area with the fallen Redstone Golem, there's a lever in the back left corner that'll reveal the next rune doorway.

8. Highblock Halls Rune Location

When you leave the hall and head outside to a small village infested with zombies and skeletons, go through the village and keep to the right. Go up some stairs until you find a lever in the stone wall below some stained glass windows. A doorway with the rune at the end will open.

9. Obsidian Pinnacle Rune Location

The final rune is in the library halfway through the level. Once you are inside, kill the golem and villagers until you reach a large library. At the northern end you need to interact with a book on a bookshelf. Clicking it will open a secret passage where the rune and a few chests of loot are.
