NBA 2K20 Treasure Hunters rewards and map locations are detailed here, complete with all possible locations that your treasure map may be hiding. The event, which includes finding your treasure map, completing objectives such as 3v3 games and other mini-game missions and finally a rewards package, can potentially become frustrating to get started, and possibly include a lot of mindless running (btw why do avatars run like anime ninjas in this game?), but we’ve got you covered. 

There are countless YouTube videos and tutorials on this topic out in the ether, but many content creators have mistakenly documented only the treasure map location that they found for themselves. In actuality, there are a number of potential locations where your treasure map may be, and what worked for another may leave you in the dark wondering where your map could be. 

NBA 2K20 Treasure Hunters Map Locations

When looking to get your Treasure Hunters event started, let’s first look at the possible locations where your map may be hidden. While locations are ultimately randomly generated for every player, there are a few spots that have a particular high RNG chance of spawning your map. Some potential locations you should check out are:

  • Near the third tee at Disc Golf behind the MyCourt buildings

  • Behind the Training Facility

  • In front of the Rec Center

  • Next to Ante Up

  • Behind the building with DJ Artwork

  • Behind Doc's Barber Shop

  • Behind the NBA store

  • Behind VC management

Be sure to check every nook and cranny around these primary areas, as your map is almost certain to be in a back or side alley off the beaten path. 

NBA 2K20 Treasure Hunters Rewards

Once you’ve found your map, completing the following possible mini-games is the next step in unlocking the various rewards as a consolation for all your hard work and time. There are three steps to unlock, each with three to four mini-games in turn to complete and advance to the next step.

Completing them all will take some time, but you can always call on a friend to help you out - especially with any 3v3 matches you may have to play on court. 

Once completed, you will have access to the following six rewards, of which you can select only two:

  • Treasure Hunters Head Tie

  • Skill Boosts for 10 games

  • Treasure Hunters Pants

  • 5000 VC

  • Treasure Hunters Eye Patch

  • Treasure Hunters Hat
