Overwatch's new heroes are going to be featured in Overwatch 2. In an interview with IGN, Overwatch Game Director Jeff Kaplan explained that plans for new heroes will only be put into action after the sequel is released. In 2019's Overwatch 2 trailer, fans can see new hero Sojourn gliding through map terrains while firing her gun arm. There is a huge possibility that she will add one more name to a long list of DPS in Overwatch.

Overwatch New Hero: 3 Characters We Hope to Show Up in Overwatch 2

While Sojourn's presence is expected, there are other characters previously featured in either Overwatch's comics or animated short movies who we cannot forget and secretly hope to appear more. Here are the three characters we wish to show up in Overwatch 2.

1. Mauga

Mauga is a Talon Heavy Assault and a former friend of Baptiste. Described as tall and muscular, Mauga portrays himself as being a "big dumb brute." He is proficient in close combat and was previously described as an "aggressive and in your face" kind of hero by Kaplan. While we have a lot of "good guys" in Overwatch, an addition of an interesting Talon character is always welcomed by the community. Whether it's his great social skills, white hairstreak, or gigantic stature, fans cannot wait to play him as a hero in Overwatch 2.

2. Alejandra

When watching the animated short "Hero," fans wondered about the identity of the teenage girl who takes up most of the screentime, Alejandra. Living in Dorado with her mother, Alejandra seems to have no heroic ability. Instead, she embodies what all of us are: heroes admirers. After being saved by Soldier: 76 from a grenade, she ran back home believing in the idea of heroes. In the comic version, Alejandra appears in Zarya's storyline. She helped her and Lynx Seventeen locate Sombra. It would be exciting to see her again in the future with the possibility of her being the youngest hero in Overwatch.

3. Junker Queen

Ever wondered who narrated the Junkertown map trailer? What about the badass woman whose posters are scattered around Junkertown? The Junker Queen, also known as "the Queen of Junkertown" or simply "the Queen" is the cutthroat leader of the Junkers. She was originally a fighter and champion. A charismatic and skilled fighter, it is not surprising that she became Junkertown's ruler. Kaplan has mentioned that the team has "big plans" for her, without giving out details. She would undoubtedly be a very interesting character to see in Overwatch 2.
