Niantic Labs has announced a new event coming to Pokemon GO: Lush Jungle. We've put together a comprehensive guide to everything trainers can expect for the duration of the event from new debuts to Spotlights, research, and more.

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle will run run March 22 at 10 a.m. to March 29 at 8 p.m. local time.

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle Pokemon Debuts

There are three new species debuting during the Pokemon Lush Jungle event:

  • Fomantis, the "Sickle Grass" grass-type.
  • Lurantis, the "Bloom Sickle" Pokemon and evolved form of Fomantis.
  • Tapu Lele, the guardian spirit of Akala Island in the Alola region.

Shiny Cottonee will also be making its debut in the Park Spotlight feature during Lush Jungle.

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle Park Spotlight

The Lush Jungle Park Spotlight will take place on March 26 at 10 a.m. and run through to March 27 at 8 p.m., local time. It features Cottonee which will be appearing more frequently in parks for the duration of the Spotlight—as the name suggests.

Shiny Cottonee will be making its debut at this time.

Cottonee, the "Cotton Puff" Pokemon, originally debuted as part of Generation V in the Unova region. It evolves into Whimsicott if exposed to a Sun Stone.

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle Wild Encounters

The following Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild for the duration of the entire event:

  • Metapod
  • Fomantis
  • (Shiny) Paras
  • (Shiny) Exeggcute
  • (Shiny) Hoothoot
  • (Shiny) Sudowoodo
  • (Shiny) Ferroseed
  • (Shiny) Pinsir
  • (Shiny) Cottonee

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle Raid Bosses

These Pokemon will be appearing as One-star Raid bosses:

Three-star Raids will feature the following Pokemon:

  • Sewaddle
  • (Shiny) Bellsprout
  • (Shiny) Tangela
  • (Shiny) Cottonee

Tapu Lele will be appearing as a Five-star Raid boss.

  • Butterfree
  • Vileplume
  • Parasect
  • Exeggcutor

Mega Raids will feature Charizard Y with a chance to be shiny.

Pokemon GO Lush Jungle Research Details & Encounters

A new set of Timed Research tasks will become available for the duration of the Lush Jungle event. Completing these tasks will reward an encounter with the following Pokemon:

  • Parasect
  • Fomantis
  • (Shiny) Paras
  • (Shiny) Sunkern
  • (Shiny) Caterpie
  • (Shiny) Exeggcute
  • (Shiny) Wurmple
  • (Shiny) Cottonee
  • (Shiny) Ferroseed
  • (Shiny) Seedot

The next island-specific research line featuring Akala Island will kick off once the event begins.
