Much to the relief of Apex Legends fans, we predict a new map is coming to the Battle Royale in 2024.
For the first time since Apex Legends launched in 2019, fans did not get a new Battle Royale map in 2023. Instead, the developers delivered multiple changes to Storm Point in Season 19. Although the updates were a welcome sight, they did not satisfy the players who eagerly awaited a completely new landscape. The new calendar year has fans hoping and wondering if their patience will finally be rewarded.
Fortunately, we believe a new map is on its way, and a few leaks back up our prediction.

Predicting If There Will be New Apex Legends Maps in 2024
Yes, we predict there will be a new Apex Legends Battle Royale map in 2024. After taking a year off from releasing a new map in 2023, Respawn Entertainment will surely release a new playground for fans to explore in 2024.
Typically, new maps in Apex Legends drop in November, so fans eager to play a new map will likely have to wait months and months. The developers did digress from their previous schedule in 2023, though, so it is possible a map comes earlier than expected in 2024.
For reference, here's the release dates for the last five Battle Royale maps in Apex Legends:
- King's Canyon: February 2019 (launch)
- World's Edge: October 2019
- Olympus: November 2020
- Storm Point: November 2021
- Broken Moon: November 2022
Again, after skipping 2023, it is highly likely a sixth map gets added to the list in 2024.
New Apex Legends District Map Leaked
According to reliable Apex Legends content creator, Thordan Smash, the new map coming to Apex Legends in 2024 is called District. Although not much is known about the new Battle Royale map just yet, he mentioned that District will sport a heavy influence from Titanfall 2, similar to King's Canyon.
It is important to note that Respawn Entertainment has not confirmed the leak yet, so there is a possibility that it does not come to fruition in 2024. In fact, several Apex Legends leaks have taken years to actually come to the game.
