PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Patch 8.1 patch notes revealed the return of Sanhok with an updated map, with fan favorite Bootcamp getting a revamp.

PUBG Patch 8.1 is confirmed to go live following a maintenance period July 22. The new patch will feature Sanhok with new designs for points of interests, brand new loot trucks and improved weather conditions.

PUBG Patch 8.1 All New Landmark Changes in Sanhok

PUBG Patch 8.1 reveals the return of Sanhok as developers keep the feel of the original map alive. PUBG Corp stated it wants the map to "feel more like a forgotten, overgrown paradise" with many of the updated areas seen with more trees and vines.

Key landmarks have been revealed in before-and-after photos in the patch notes, which also include new names for revamped areas. Fan favorite Bootcamp has been updated with a more slick and organized look, making it feel more like a military camp. The new design provides players with both long and close range options, but also includes an underground area where players will be pinned against each other.

The Quarry has been given a new look with more mountains instead of just two peaks. In addition, players will now have access to the high ground without being stuck there after first landing there. Airfield replaces the key landmark name Mongnai and features a dirt and mud airstrip. Mongnai turned from a farmland with houses into an airstrip where motor gliders can be found in Sanhok.

Getaway replaces the Dock and has been changed from a modern dock into a swampy or tropical party zone. A little beaten up, the poolside bars, dance club and increased loot drops will make this landmark more favorable then its predecessor.

The Ruins landmark now features an even more elaborate labyrinth. Instead of a small one or two level, Ruins now has high towers and pathways that make it look and feel like an ancient civilization.

Small map changes affect Mountain, Cave and River. Mountain has new pathways for players at the end-game so they won't need to take a chance to escape the blue zone. Cave features a new temple, whilst the River will have a modern and sleek bridge with a small river underneath.

Pai Nan, Khao, Sahmee, Kampong and Bhan have all been given a new looks and improvements in PUBG Patch 8.1, though the changes aren't be as big as those targeting Bootcamp or Ruins.

Other new features in PUBG Patch 8.1 include gas can improvements, changes to season missions and an all new ranked season.
