A new town takeover event could put Rampart in the Arenas spotlight next month, according to a set of leaks.

It's no secret that Rampart isn't the most popular pick in Apex Legends. While her support kit and lore are interesting, players seem to view her as a situational pick due in part to her less-than-stellar mobility compared to other legends. A big gun is useless if you miss half your shots, right? Fortunately for Rampart fans, Respawn Entertainment could be looking to give her time to shine.

Rampart Town Takeover Event Heading to Arenas

The leaks started pouring in earlier this week—as early as Tuesday, Aug. 3. It's taken a second for the game's dedicated team of data miners to uncover the bulk of the leads. Now, however, it seems clear that Rampart will be the next Town Takeover legend.

Credible informant @GarretLeaks uncovered a set of in-game teasers set to go live in early September between Sept. 5-10. He categorized it as something close to Seer's in-match Easter eggs before he was released. Later, he clarified that they may be centralized to the World's Edge map.

Another informant, @SomeoneWhoLeaks (SWL) was able to corroborate the teaser dates. They were additionally able to provide evidence that Rampart would be featured in the Arenas mode from a new asset of her within the Arena's folder.

SWL continued digging, eventually uncovering that "Rampart blue screens"—or, from the looks of it, blueprints—would soon start appearing over every map.

While they didn't clarify whether or not this would be exclusive to Arenas, they did manage to find out that Rampart's potential Town Takeover event would be centered around her own Arena map. That map may or may not be titled "Encore."

It's unclear whether the new Rampart map will be exclusively for the event or remain indefinitely. DBLTAP cannot confirm dates for the event, either, but we can assume it may take place later in September or possibly into early October.

More details are sure to appear as the Town Takeover draws closer.
