Ruined King League of Legends: Everything You Need to Know

Ruined King League of Legends: Everything You Need to Know
Recently, Riot Games announced the creation of Riot Forge. Designed to explore the massive universe built up over a decade of League of Legends, Riot Forge tasks small indie game development studios with creating side projects that take place within the world of League of legends.
As it stands, we've seen the announcement of two projects that will be coming out of the Forge team. The first is CONV/RGENCE, a platformer taking place within the seedy city of Zaun and focusing on Ekko (a personal favorite champion). The other is Ruined King, which is confirmed to be a role-playing game centering on the story of the Shadow Isles.
The Story of the Ruined King
For those uninitiated to the tale, or who have forgotten among the hundreds of other stories waiting within League's massive world, the tale of the Ruined King is a simple one. Trying to heal his dealthly-sick queen, a desperate ruler travels from his home to the Blessed Isles, a place of potent magic that serves as home to a sort-of Wellspring of life. Believing this place of power could bring his beloved the healing she required, the man who would become the Ruined King was betrayed by a capricious wizard, not only failing to save himself or his wife but also casting a horrid cloud of magical undeath across the Blessed Isles, ravaging them into what most now know as the Shadow Isles, a place of depraved spirits and gluttonous predatory creatures from beyond one's worst nightmare.
In other words... not the best vacation spot.
We're still waiting for more information on Ruined King, including a release date. However, Riot has made it convenient enough to follow the game, including a website where interested parties can keep up to date with news on the game.
