While Splitgate does indeed feature crossplay voice chat, just how exactly does it work?

For console players on Xbox and PlayStation looking to have a laidback, friendly discussion with those on PC about the topic of aim assist, here's everything you need to know about crossplay voice chat in Splitgate.

Splitgate Crossplay Voice Chat: How Does it Work?

With Splitgate having support for crossplay in the form of both cross-platform and cross-gen multiplayer between PlayStation, Xbox and PC, there is crossplay voice chat in the game.

However, while it is supposed to work both in the pre-game lobby and in-game, it appears the feature breaks as soon as matches begin.

Additionally, while the official Splitgate Twitter account has said that they're aware of the current issues and are pushing for a fix soon, there hasn't been any developments on that part at the time of writing.

With Splitgate being one of the rising games in popularity at the moment, it's been a great job on 1047 Games' part to not only be able to improve on the title's queue times, but to also have crossplay on consoles from day one.

At the moment, it is unfortunate that this issue persists, however, especially for those who have parties made up of Xbox and PlayStation players. While PC players can join Xbox party chats, it appears there aren't any other seamless workarounds at the moment.
